Remote Services, including remote diagnostic and first line repair of instruments through emerging IOT and AR technologies, is a critical priority for the company to digitally transform the laboratory and step change how we service customers. This is a critical Sr. Product Management role that will be focused on establishing CMD focused Lighthouse Projects to drive fast cycle learning with customers, and developing service revenue generation programs to scale our capabilities and drive top and bottom line growth. The successful candidate will have strong product management and new product/service development experience, and possess a highly developed influencing-leadership skill set.
Enable the development of pilots, working with the instrument business units, service delivery organization, and centralized Digital Transformation Office resources to accelerate our learning curve across key areas, with a focus on driving in market adoption of the connected instruments.
Identify key learning and customer requirements from in market learning to develop Service product offerings that drive Revenue and Cost Savings.
Partner with the instrument services product management organization to create service models and contracts based on remote service capabilities.
Supports Digital Transformation Office and IES technology strategy specific to building out our service delivery capabilities, with a focus on improving our First Time Fix Rate and overall cost to serve.
Contribute and help develop IES STRAP, including strategic development and deployment.
Performs other duties as assigned
BA or BS degree, Masters degree preferred
8-10+ plus years experience of remote technologies and Internet of Things product management, marketing or relevant experience
An exceptional leader that can influence at the highest levels of a large corporation in a matrixed role while also rolling up sleeves to work with project teams to achieve results.
Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across organizations: divisional, regional and global service delivery, marketing teams, and sales
Experience managing businesses and people in a global, matrix reporting structure
Experience developing remote monitoring technology product and service offerings
Understanding of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Instruments a plus
Results-driven with ability to manage timelines and gate reviews
Ability to think strategically and an exceptional communicator in both verbal and written communications
Ability and willingness to be a hands-on leader
Travel requirements: up to 30% travel
